# ERM-1004

> This sync references a field Marketo doesn't have

## What happened

The field mapping names a field that doesn't exist in your Marketo instance.

## Common causes

A typo in the field's API name; the field was renamed or deleted in Marketo; you used the display name instead of the REST API name.

## How to fix

In Marketo, go to Admin → Field Management and copy the field's REST API name. Update the field mapping in your config.
