Marketo keeps a durable list of everyone who has unsubscribed, even if the person is later deleted. allGood keeps its own list, and Marketo’s doesn’t move over on its own. Before your first marketing send from allGood, get your Marketo list to allGood so those people stay opted out.

Steps

  1. Open a Marketo Engage support ticket. Copy and paste this:
    Hello, please send us a copy of our durable unsubscribe table as a spreadsheet. We’re moving our email sending to another platform and need to keep our opt-outs. Thank you.
  2. Wait for the spreadsheet. Marketo support sends back a spreadsheet of values. Don’t edit it.
  3. Send it to your allGood contact. They’ll tell you which secure channel to use. The file holds personal data, so don’t send it by ordinary email.
  4. Wait for allGood to confirm the addresses are on your suppression list. Don’t send marketing email from allGood until then.
The file only covers opt-outs up to the day Marketo pulled it. If you keep sending from Marketo after that, request a second copy at cutover and send that too.
