What it is made of
- The message. The body, laid out from your approved components.
- Its copy, as a separate document. When you write an email, you also get its words as their own asset, which the email draws from. A writer can rewrite the message without touching the layout. See Copy and variants.
- Subject and preheader. These belong to the email itself, not to its copy document.
- A rendered preview. What the email looks like, so you can review it before anything sends.
Built once, personalized for each recipient
allGood prepares the layout once, when the email is created. At the moment of sending, it fills in each recipient’s first name, company, and any other fields for that person, then sends. That makes an email the most flexible thing you can make in Content. A landing page is built once before any visitor arrives, so it can’t reference a person at all. An email can. See Personalizing an email for what you can use.Publishing locks in what it depends on
When you publish an email, allGood locks in everything it depends on at the versions you reviewed: its copy, template, component library, and brand. Later changes to those don’t alter an email you already published. See Publishing and versions.Good to know
- A motion can author an email. If a motion made it, you manage that email from the motion. Its own page shows the owner and offers no controls.
- One email can deliver more than one version. If the brief calls for variants, a content router decides who sees which. See Copy and variants.
