A page goes live only when you publish it. Until then it’s a draft, and no one can reach it without a preview link.
1

Check the address

Open the page and look at its address. It shows where the page will serve on your subdomain. Before the page is live the address is dashed. Once it’s live, it’s solid and clickable. If no domain is connected, a note says so, and the page serves on your allGood preview host instead. Ask your admin to connect one. See Connect a subdomain.

Publish

Select Publish. A window lists everything that will go live. The page comes first, with its published version and its latest version side by side, such as v7 to v10.
The Publish window showing a landing page going from v7 to v10, with its page components, branding and template marked Already published, and its copy and forms marked Unchanged

The Publish window lists the page and what it uses

Under the page, each item it uses shows its status. Already published means that version is already live. Unchanged means nothing new goes out for it. Forms list the activity trigger that fires when someone submits them.Select Publish again to confirm. If something stops the publish, such as an address that another page already uses, the window says what and where.
When this works, the page loads at its public link for anyone, and the page shows as published.

Take a page down

Open the ⋯ menu on the page’s card and choose Take Down… to remove the page from its address.
The deploy card's menu open, with Copy Asset ID, Open Deploy Workflow and Take Down options

Take Down… is in the card's menu

A window asks you to confirm. Type OK to take down in the box, then select Take down.

Taking a page down disables it right away, and any links to it stop working. If the page is part of a motion, that motion may be affected. Every version is kept, so you can publish the page again.

Change a live page

Edit the page, or ask Mary for a change. Every save is a new version, and the live page keeps serving the old one until you publish the new one. Each publish is versioned, and you can go back to an earlier version from the page’s history. See Publishing and versions.

Good to know

  • A page serves at the address Mary set. To change it, ask Mary for a new version with a different slug. The address moves when you publish that version, so links to the old address stop working.
  • Gated pages shouldn’t be indexed. Search engine settings apply to your whole site. See Landing page settings.
  • A page goes live when you publish it. There’s no scheduling.
  • Visits wait for cookie consent. The allGood tag on the page records visits, and it holds them until the visitor agrees, as on your own website. A page without the tag isn’t tracked at all. See Does a page wait for cookie consent?.
